Feeling the Benefit...!

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
So Debenhams Ireland kicked off their Spring Summer collection in style this week with a launch to beat all launches, and of course, the gang here in A Little Bit Plus were there with glamorous bells on. While we know Debenhams to be host to brands such as Ben De Lisi, Henry Holland and Jasper Conran, we forget that they house some of the best beauty brands in the biz. While I am a MAC girl at heart, I was drawn to give one particular brand the "Benefit" of the doubt...

As part of the event, Benefit were showcasing their latest product; Roller Lash. A mascara that thickens and curls at the same time. So with glasses of vino in hand, myself and fellow fashionista Clare McQuaid jumped into the hot seat with no hesitation!
Clare getting her "Puff - Off" on!
The Benefit babes Susie and Fran, gave us full make-up demos and we walked away feeling the benefit, of both the make-up. ... and the wine!
On me, Fran used the following products;
  1. Big Easy BB Cream in #2
  2. Whats Up Highlighter
  3. Fake Up Concealer #1
  4. Sugarbomb Blush
  5. Gimme Brow Tint (Brow Mascara)
  6. Cha Cha Tint

While our natural instinct is to buy them all, I've picked my favourite three to avoid shopper's guilt.
Gimme Brow, €25
I'm usually a brow pencil kinda gal, but this brow mascara has to be seen to be believed. A natural full finish achieved in seconds. A MUST HAVE.
Sugarbomb, Benefit, €34
This blusher made both myself and Clare go wwooooaaaahhh when we saw it on. (Possibly the wine). Make Up artist Fran used it as both blusher and an eye shadow base so it's well worth the investment.
Watt's Up, Benefit, €35
The show stopper for me was the What 's Up hi ghlighter. Usually a highlighter sticks to my foundation and creates a horrible line and looks weird, but with the combo of the BB cream, this highlighter slid on and made my face sparkle under the expensive Morrison Hotel light fittings. Well done Benefit!

Big shout out also to Amanda and Amy in Urban Decay who hooked us up with eyelashes, yet another blockbuster beauty brand to catch in Debenhams.
So the message is clear, Benefit is far more than just fancy packaging and should we need our beauty fix this weekend, Debenhams have it all, presuming there's free wine in store all the time? A girl can dream.
