A Red Dress

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
LRD (little red dress), yes please!

Jacket (similar) | Dress | Heels (similar)

It seems pretty shocking to me now that I think about it but I can't remember the last time I wore a red dress. I've been missing out! I found this perfect day to night red dress at Nordstrom. It's made by Adrianna Papell, a designer I've been getting to know more and more lately. Nordstrom's plus size section is growing and I've discovered quite a few newer designers and my wish list is growing.

The dress is a very soft poly blend and is fully lined so it's perfect for fall. Jackets over dresses remains top of my list for favorite fall outfits. I decided to amplify the orangey red dress with a flowy tomato red trench coat. Tonal red on red is pow!

Ultrasonic Platinum Review Number 76 Style Mont Kiara

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
this month's candy for readers

Last month I facebook a selfie of myself that looks like Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. My hair was frizzy, dry and damage after the constant bleaching and colouring (three times) this year. I think Numbe r 76 Style saw my pic and decided to take pity on me by inviting me to review their newly upgraded Ultrasonic Platinum treatment which is a better treatment than the Ultra Sonic Iron that I tried in May. Recommended for all hair types, especially those with dry, fussy, frizzy and damage hair due to frequent colouring / perming services.

(only applicable at 76Style, Mont Kiara)

I really like this 76Style interior!

Now the Ultrasonic Platinum is 76Style's brand new signature hair treatment, which actually is an upgraded version of the Ultra Sonic Iron Treatment with improved formula and technique for ultimate result of superior silky hair experience. It still uses the special iron from Japan designed with an exclusive technology of high-speed vibration beats at 37,000 per second. Ultrasonic Platinum uses extra kau (ultra) hair nourishment products from Japan carefully picked out by their stylist according to the needs of our hair. It is then iron a few times to make our hair silky soft.

The iron does not work like a straightening iron, it work as tool to ensure nourishment is fully penetrated into your hair via the vibration beats for a healthier and manag eable ha ir.

shampoo, treatment, iron, treatment again & iron again

the special iron used in this treatment

The hair iron is imported from Japan and the plater of the iron is cold (not hot, so doesn't damage your poor hair further). It generates high-speed vibration at 37,000 beats per second to ensure the nutrition of the treatment cream is penetrated deep into your hair. The vibrations also v ibrates the cell of the hair which encourage active moisture from the treatment.

Saki, a Japanese hair director was my stylist

this is the result after my treatment!

because I was attracted to Saki's curls, I asked her to curl my hair too

The whole Ultrasonic Platinum Treatment RM328 took about 90mins to complete. Saki my hair stylist who is also the director (omg) advise me to use the post-care hair treatment (a 4 tube treatment in a packet given to those who purchase this treatment) to be used once a week to maintain my hair. She says the Ultrasonic Platinum can be done once or twice in a month if I wish to have a healthier and more manageable hair. For a short term solution this hair treatment beats any other hair treatments you're going to do unless you're talking about long term solutions like rebonding / straightening / Brazilian Keratin Treatment which lasts more than 3 months. I'm going to flash my own blog to do this again. It's been two months now and my hair already becoming like Hermione again.

Interested to t ry 76 St yle's new signature treatment? Then you're in luck! Just flash my blog review and get 30% OFF at 76 Style, Mont Kiara. This promotion is valid for a month (until 25th Oct, 2015) with terms and conditions applied. Just call to inquire :) okay.

Clothes we NEED for Winter!

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
It's been a great few weeks checking out all of the Autumn Winter campaigns and there is so much to get excited about this year. 70s prints, plenty of fur and last year's cape trend is back with a bang.
This Rochelle Hume mini cape dress was one of the hit pieces at this week's Littlewood Ireland's Autumn Winter launch. In fairness Vogue Williams would look fab in a black bag, but this dress is a real statement piece for anyone's wardrobe. Plus-sizers should be mind ful that it is very short so team it with a pair of control top opaque tights.
Mini Cape Dress, €84, Littlewoods Ireland
Warehouse are kicking ass with day dresses at the moment. I recently bought this navy tunic dress and it is so comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I'm wearing it in the first photo above - although I know you can't see it properly under the coat!
Lace Sleeve Dress, €78, Warehouse
If an A-line shape is more your thing, they also have this zip-through pocket dress at the cheaper price of €61.

Zoe Jordan is the latest designer to collaborate with River Island for their womenswear Design Forum initiative. Her line is edgy but wearable and the best part - at high street price. This fur cape is my favourite piece, fab.
Zoe Jordan @River Island, €83
Speaking of cape, back at Littlewoods Ireland, they have this great value camel ca pe which is the perfect alternative to the winter coat.

If you can get one of the above, great - if you can get them all - even better!!! (think I might order that camel cape now!)

Drying Flowers For Potpourris Part 1

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
red roses & pink roses

hang your flowers in a drying area

I subscribed to bloomthis for a month and my subscription has ended l ast Thursday *sob*. I don't think I will continue the subscription although I enjoyed getting surprised every Thursdays with fresh flowers but I have to save up for my Bali trip this year end!. Yes I'm going Bali for 10D9N with my boyfriend (smiles). It's a long distance relationship and while I don't know how this is going to work out, we are going to try :) and see where things goes.

Anyway yes so my flowers, they're really beautiful for a few days but then they start dying and I don't have the heart to throw them away. Instead I tied them up loosely and dry them at my balcony, hanging down from my cycling bike. It takes a week or more to let them dry up, you can see the colours changing. Too much sunlight will destroy the colours, so be careful not to over dry them.

I'll make nice potpourris out by Christmas to giveaway to my friends.  All I need is essential oils and another stage of "curing" them in the oils.

My Name Was Stupid Fat Pig

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
expressions of the self part 2

Since young, I learnt never to expect anything from anyone and have empathy in life. It is with empathy that I can see through the darkest of all souls and a glimmer of light in each one. It is without holding on to expectations that I cannot be disappointed. I thank myself for having this two strengths in me because it has shape who I am today. Emotions are strength, food for the soul.

A broken family at 10, days I eat only a simple meal, raised by a single mom, molested by my own relative, witness my stepfat her abuse my mom, had an ex fiance who degraded me everyday for 13 years, and whom I gave up my education and future in Australia, for the one man that did not love me in the end.

it was piggy, fat pig then stupid fat pig

You would think I am stronger because of the pain of growing up. I wasn't but slowly, I did. What hurts the most was being called stupid fat pig by the one person whom you gave your heart to. What started as a teasingly funny nickname soon turned into a daily greeting accompanied with eyes that haunt you for years. I forgive him believing one day, he would call me baby again. He was going through depression from working, lost his job and wasn't working for nearly a year. While I was living and caring for him, we were strangers in th e same h ome. He would ignore me, go out whenever he wants to. I should give him some space I said to myself. After all we are going to have a whole lifetime being married together. I didn't rush the wedding plans; the timing wasn't right with all that is happening.

As I looked into the mirror at the end of my relationship with my first love, I was shocked at how I did become stupid fat pig in the end. My self-image, was shaved till I could no longer recognise myself.

even the strong cries

I said to myself, no more. Finally letting go of this man, who fell in love with a China girl on a business trip. I gave them my blessing for the better of us both. I did not make it hard for him. I left peacefully when I was asked to get the f*** out, cried my heart out at the home I helped built together, leaving empty handed. I remember hiding in the wardrobe, warm tea rs on my cheeks, clenching my fists over my heart. Praying to God to take the pain away. When I confronted him about the cheating affair with evidence, he denied it and said it was "none of my business". With those very words I finally was set free from the demons I grew myself.

it's not weak, to be weak

Empathy is a powerful reason for living. Things happened and some things happens for a reason, even before you know it. God has everything planned for everyone, and it takes a good deal of life, to get there. I am not who I am today, if it wasn't for all the experiences I went through. My life can't be unfold in a mere few sentences but it is the reason why I continue to feel for people. My passion to help and care fo r my friends, even strangers can be my weakness. I trust without trusting, I give without expecting anything back. While many don't believe there are people who genuinely want to make a better world out there, in paying it forward, in the greater good of people, there are people born out of life circumstances that do not see the world by merely materialistic wealth.

Are you in a emotionally abusive relationship? Know how to spot the differences between being hurt and being love by reading my first expression here - behind the smile

Some things, are priceless like friendships, kindness, compassion and understanding. I am grateful for all the support and friendship from everyone till now. For my friends who feel it's hard to keep going, uncertain of what the future holds for you, being hurt secretly behind closed doors. Don't give up and don't let anyone take you, aw ay from you. Dedicating this song Weak by Daphne Koo to you.

Weak by Daphne Koo

It's hard to smile
at my reflection,
when I wake up, I wonder why
all I see, are the imperfections.
All the proof that i'm not alright.

Oh and I confess
that none of this makes sense,
A new struggle everyday, ohhh
But I know sometimes,
we gotta be lost to find,
to find our way
don't be afraid

Even the strong cry,
when no one's looking
we try not to scared on the outside,
but I know that there's strength from the fall,
it's not weak, to be weak at al l.

behind these eyes,
a world is hiding
where I feel safe, but so alone
all my scars, they keep me fighting
for a place I can call my own

Oh and I confess
that none of this makes sense,
A new struggle everyday, ohhh
But I know sometimes,
we gotta be lost to find,
to find our way
don't be afraid

Even the strong cry,
when no one's looking
we try not to scared on the outside,
but I know that there's strength from the fall,
it's not weak, to be weak at all.

Barcelona Photo Diary

HTML email (dzzfashion.blogspot.com)
My recent trip to Barcelona was one for the books.
My sister and I grabbed a last minute flight and headed off to have yet another "Dora" moment together.

Having recently traveled to Anguilla, we of course wanted to see the beach -
So we headed straight there from the airport but Bar celona is an incredible city and we wanted to spend our time exploring.

We stayed at the Hotel Catalunya Passeig de Gracia. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating.  Our room faced the pool and courtyard but was really quiet. The bathroom was gorgeous and honestly if was the first time the water pressure in Europe didn't make me miss my shower at home.  If you're in the area, I definitely recommend a stay. Not to mention, the breakfast spread was pretty lush, boy do I miss that coffee!< /div>

The church wasn't a fan of my bare shoulders, had to rig my top to cover up the skin, naughty naughty.

It was great to check out stores that I hadn't visited before. I of course had to check out And Other Stories, such a great retail store...lots of fab accessories. No trip to Spain would be complete without a stop into Zara but I opted to visit Zara Home (OMG there is a HOME STORE!) it was soooo good. I didn't go too crazy because carrying fragile home items across the world seemed like a breakable idea.

The Festa de Gracia was a highlight. As street festivals go, pink and purple streamers constitute and automatic win.

Barcelona is a warm city filled with beautiful things to look at and lovely people to get to know. Until next time!
