It's been a great few weeks checking out all of the Autumn Winter campaigns and there is so much to get excited about this year. 70s prints, plenty of fur and last year's cape trend is back with a bang.
This Rochelle Hume mini cape dress was one of the hit pieces at this week's Littlewood Ireland's Autumn Winter launch. In fairness Vogue Williams would look fab in a black bag, but this dress is a real statement piece for anyone's wardrobe. Plus-sizers should be mind ful that it is very short so team it with a pair of control top opaque tights.

Warehouse are kicking ass with day dresses at the moment. I recently bought this navy tunic dress and it is so comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I'm wearing it in the first photo above - although I know you can't see it properly under the coat!

If an A-line shape is more your thing, they also have this zip-through pocket dress at the cheaper price of â¬61.

Zoe Jordan is the latest designer to collaborate with River Island for their womenswear Design Forum initiative. Her line is edgy but wearable and the best part - at high street price. This fur cape is my favourite piece, fab.

Speaking of cape, back at Littlewoods Ireland, they have this great value camel ca pe which is the perfect alternative to the winter coat.

If you can get one of the above, great - if you can get them all - even better!!! (think I might order that camel cape now!)

I subscribed to bloomthis for a month and my subscription has ended l ast Thursday *sob*. I don't think I will continue the subscription although I enjoyed getting surprised every Thursdays with fresh flowers but I have to save up for my Bali trip this year end!. Yes I'm going Bali for 10D9N with my boyfriend (smiles). It's a long distance relationship and while I don't know how this is going to work out, we are going to try :) and see where things goes.
Anyway yes so my flowers, they're really beautiful for a few days but then they start dying and I don't have the heart to throw them away. Instead I tied them up loosely and dry them at my balcony, hanging down from my cycling bike. It takes a week or more to let them dry up, you can see the colours changing. Too much sunlight will destroy the colours, so be careful not to over dry them.
I'll make nice potpourris out by Christmas to giveaway to my friends. All I need is essential oils and another stage of "curing" them in the oils.

Since young, I learnt never to expect anything from anyone and have empathy in life. It is with empathy that I can see through the darkest of all souls and a glimmer of light in each one. It is without holding on to expectations that I cannot be disappointed. I thank myself for having this two strengths in me because it has shape who I am today. Emotions are strength, food for the soul.
A broken family at 10, days I eat only a simple meal, raised by a single mom, molested by my own relative, witness my stepfat her abuse my mom, had an ex fiance who degraded me everyday for 13 years, and whom I gave up my education and future in Australia, for the one man that did not love me in the end.
it was piggy, fat pig then stupid fat pig
You would think I am stronger because of the pain of growing up. I wasn't but slowly, I did. What hurts the most was being calledstupid fat pigby the one person whom you gave your heart to. What started as a teasingly funny nickname soon turned into a daily greeting accompanied with eyes that haunt you for years. I forgive him believing one day, he would call me baby again. He was going through depression from working, lost his job and wasn't working for nearly a year. While I was living and caring for him, we were strangers in th e same h ome. He would ignore me, go out whenever he wants to. I should give him some space I said to myself. After all we are going to have a whole lifetime being married together. I didn't rush the wedding plans; the timing wasn't right with all that is happening.
As I looked into the mirror at the end of my relationship with my first love, I was shocked at how I did become stupid fat pig in the end. My self-image, was shaved till I could no longer recognise myself.
even the strong cries
I said to myself, no more. Finally letting go of this man, who fell in love with a China girl on a business trip. I gave them my blessing for the better of us both. I did not make it hard for him. I left peacefully when I was asked to get the f*** out, cried my heart out at the home I helped built together, leaving empty handed. I remember hiding in the wardrobe, warm tea rs on my cheeks, clenching my fists over my heart. Praying to God to take the pain away. When I confronted him about the cheating affair with evidence, he denied it and said it was "none of my business". With those very words I finally was set free from the demons I grew myself.
it's not weak, to be weak
Empathy is a powerful reason for living. Things happened and some things happens for a reason, even before you know it. God has everything planned for everyone, and it takes a good deal of life, to get there. I am not who I am today, if it wasn't for all the experiences I went through. My life can't be unfold in a mere few sentences but it is the reason why I continue to feel for people. My passion to help and care fo r my friends, even strangers can be my weakness. I trust without trusting, I give without expecting anything back. While many don't believe there are people who genuinely want to make a better world out there, in paying it forward, in the greater good of people, there are people born out of life circumstances that do not see the world by merely materialistic wealth.

Some things, are priceless like friendships, kindness, compassion and understanding. I am grateful for all the support and friendship from everyone till now. For my friends who feel it's hard to keep going, uncertain of what the future holds for you, being hurt secretly behind closed doors. Don't give up and don't let anyone take you, aw ay from you. Dedicating this song Weak by Daphne Koo to you.
Weak by Daphne Koo
It's hard to smile
at my reflection,
when I wake up, I wonder why
all I see, are the imperfections.
All the proof that i'm not alright.
Oh and I confess
that none of this makes sense,
A new struggle everyday, ohhh
But I know sometimes,
we gotta be lost to find,
to find our way
don't be afraid
Even the strong cry,
when no one's looking
we try not to scared on the outside,
but I know that there's strength from the fall,
it's not weak, to be weak at al l.
behind these eyes,
a world is hiding
where I feel safe, but so alone
all my scars, they keep me fighting
for a place I can call my own
Oh and I confess
that none of this makes sense,
A new struggle everyday, ohhh
But I know sometimes,
we gotta be lost to find,
to find our way
don't be afraid
Even the strong cry,
when no one's looking
we try not to scared on the outside,
but I know that there's strength from the fall,
it's not weak, to be weak at all.

My recent trip to Barcelona was one for the books.
My sister and I grabbed a last minute flight and headed off to have yet another "Dora" moment together.
Having recently traveled to Anguilla, we of course wanted to see the beach -
So we headed straight there from the airport but Bar celona is an incredible city and we wanted to spend our time exploring.
We stayed at the Hotel Catalunya Passeig de Gracia. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room faced the pool and courtyard but was really quiet. The bathroom was gorgeous and honestly if was the first time the water pressure in Europe didn't make me miss my shower at home. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend a stay. Not to mention, the breakfast spread was pretty lush, boy do I miss that coffee!< /div>
The church wasn't a fan of my bare shoulders, had to rig my top to cover up the skin, naughty naughty.
It was great to check out stores that I hadn't visited before. I of course had to check out And Other Stories, such a great retail store...lots of fab accessories. No trip to Spain would be complete without a stop into Zara but I opted to visit Zara Home (OMG there is a HOME STORE!) it was soooo good. I didn't go too crazy because carrying fragile home items across the world seemed like a breakable idea.
The Festa de Gracia was a highlight. As street festivals go, pink and purple streamers constitute and automatic win.
Barcelona is a warm city filled with beautiful things to look at and lovely people to get to know. Until next time!

For anyone not familiar with the Rose of Tralee I will try to sum it up in one sentence... a festival and television programme celebrating women with Irish heritage, one woman is crowed the winner and named the "Rose of Tralee". Got it? thought not! (Explained in full here.) I work on the TV side of things and as a result I got to spend a week with all thirty two roses on the road to Tralee! Plenty of tour bus sing songs and even more shameless selfies here's a taste of what we got up to....
Megan the Wicklow Rose gets her exam results. The whole gang were in their trackies and still looked fab. Proof that colourful sportswear is king.
I was more of a by-stander so didn't have to partake in the activities really, which is just as well - me on a paddle board? Disaster.
Here's myself and Emily, or my real name for her, #kentuckyfriedrose
Roisin Ni Mhathuna, the Germany Rose told me that this dress cost under â¬5 in Berlin! Bargain.
Caitriona aka Darwin is the SPIT of Perri from Little Mix here. How does anyone look this classy shearing a sheep?
It was a week of many selfies - here is just one of a hundred of them . New Yo rk, Queensland, New Zealand, Perth, Philly and a sneaky Scotland in there.
Newbridge sorted me out with some head bling for the rose ball. (Is head bling a word?)
Rose Instapic!
Press officer Mel smashing it minutes before air.
Joy, the Melbourne Rose, absolute craic, and surprisingly short without her heels on!
All hail the ultimate party soldier Anne Mc Coy. We actually look ok considering it was 6am.
Now that its all over, a huge congratulations to Elysha Brennan the newly crowned Rose of Tralee! What an amazing week, countdown begins to next year....
